Day 20 - It's Minnesota and I am back!

Yesterday (Wednesday Aug 5th) was a day of transition. While my time in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and Montana with Mike and Beth will forever be in my heart, it is time to let go of that for now and look forward to today's gifts. Indeed, yesterday's 10 hours ride across North Dakota was just what I needed. I can't wait to talk to Mike and Beth about our time together out west but that is for when I get back to Atlanta.  Today I ride alone and with great joy. Every one of these long trips has a new texture and today I found this trips purpose and it is good. It is very good. Onward young Christian!

I loved waking up in Fargo - I loved the movie and it sounds so odd to go there for vacation. Today's trip into Duluth Minnesota was equally off beat. When I got close the Duluth I took a detour and rode north along the shores of Lake Superior - beautiful lake. I pulled over at one point and sat on some rocks to contemplate life, to reorganize my thinking, to pray and to let go of some ghosts. I then stood up, picked up a beautiful rock, wrote the ghost's name on it, said a quick prayer and then dispatched the ghost into the lake! Goodbye sweet ghost - I love you dearly but it's time to let you go. Lake Superior just got a huge improvement as it is a very good ghost.

See the splash of water as the Ghost enters the lake? Cool huh?

I turned back south and headed to Duluth where I checked into my hotel room and collapsed. I have put over 6,000 miles on my bike so far - that's great but it's also tiring. A simple evening and an early night seems to be in order. Good night my friends and family - I love you all dearly.
