Day 15 - A day or rest and relaxation

Last nights arrival in the moonlight, the way the hotel was lit up so beautifully from within, the way it was set against the blackness of the night and the forests and the way all of it just burst into view after turning a corner in the middle of absolutely nowhere was astounding. Astounding! Not sure I've ever seen such a beautiful sight ....  Now here it is morning time and the sunlight has transformed this place once again. Beth said it was as though last night we got to see this beautiful place in black and white and now we get to see it in color. It's the same place but with a completely different filter. What a privilege.

One of the first things everyone does upon arrival here is to start planning their hikes and routes and times and all such good and healthy things. After everything we've done these past few days and the 500+ mile ride yesterday, Beth and I agreed to make this a day of rest and not do much at all. So our postings for today include getting breakfast, sitting on Adirondack chairs, doing laundry, writing postcards, lunch, walking along the lakes and rivers, researching things to do tomorrow, drinking a beer in said Adirondack chairs, reading, writing, and perhaps the occasional nap / rest. What a perfect day!! And all went according to plan.
Short and sweet posting today.
