Beth's flight back to Atlanta was at 1:30 pm this afternoon and we were meeting some of my biker friends at 10 am in Kalispel which meant we had to leave this magnificent Many Glacier Hotel at 5 am. Both of us swore we would come back to this place one day. As we left on the motorcycle we looked back at the hotel one more time to say goodbye. Oh how I hated leaving this place.
Behold the coming together of two worlds! On the for left of this picture is Mary followed by Steve, Sam and Kristie - friends of mine from my bike trip back in 2012 (they lived in Sturgis SD at the time) and with whom I have stayed in touch ever since. On the far right is Beth, my good friend from Atlanta. It was so great to have these two worlds meet like this! So we hit the road to Kalispel and met my friends at 10 am. We went to a local bar to catch up over a drink and some lunch. An uproar ensued when it was time for Beth to leave for the airport for her flight home. Nobody wanted her to leave! My friends had a nice route for today's ride picked out and in the end Beth was gracious and decided to stay until tomorrow morning. So we mounted our bikes and headed out into the winder world that is Montana one more time. Hungry Horse Dam was an especially nice stop.
After a long day of riding, Beth and I got to Great Falls MT around 9 pm. We we're both tired and dint want to go to a restaurant but fortunately the front desk clerk was kind and fed us some Corn Pops and Raisen Bran for dinner. We then finished organizing all our stuff for Beth to take home tomorrow. Oh how I am going to hate to see her go.
