I rode from Marion IL to Kansas City KS today and I am staying with Dan and Stephanie. Dan and I were great friends in High School and we still are - almost 40 years. Pretty cool and amazing. The ride was much longer today than I expected. It was only about 412 miles but tons of road construction that stopped the traffic several times. I did get to see the St Louis Arch (see below). I also tried to find the Marion Federal Penetentiary but failed. It was hot as hell on the interstate but it rained on me a couple of times which felt great! And I'll tell you something else - it is amazing how much food this country makes! For 8 hours all I saw were fields and fields and fields of farms growing everything and anything. God bless America!
